It has been announced that Naas GAA Senior Football Section has secured a three year sponsorship deal with Naas Credit Union. Players from the team posed for pictures at the Monread credit union branch to showcase their new Jerseys embellished with the Naas Credit Union logo.

Popular players Eamonn Callaghan, Eoin Doyle and team captain Shane Bergin mingled with credit union staff and the public. Also in attendance were the credit union Chairperson Peter Fullam and Treasurer Aidan Morrison, and Naas Senior Football Committee Chairperson Frank Joyce and Treasurer Mick Kelly.

Peter Fullam said ‘Naas Credit Union is delighted to announce the sponsorship of Naas GAA Senior Team. The credit union is a community organisation and the role we have to play goes hand in hand with the role of Naas GAA, we are both historically connected with the town. This three year sponsorship proves our commitment to local sport development, not just in monetary value but also in time and energy. The credit union is here to help meet the financial needs of the team, their families, friends and fans while continuing to serve the wider community’.

Frank Joyce added ‘Sport is a necessary outlet in a community for health and fitness purposes and most importantly the bringing together of people, this is why we welcome this sponsorship as we feel it is a good fit. Naas Credit Union is on board to actively be involved with materials, jerseys and the promotion of our activities.’

The sponsorship comes at an ideal time as the Kildare Senior Football Championship continues next weekend with Naas taking on Leixlip in a crucial second round game. Naas, managed for a second year by Sean Dempsey, will be hoping to build on a promising league campaign to progress to the next round with county players Eamonn Callaghan and Eoin Doyle returning to the team after their campaign with Kildare.

Naas Credit Union Monread branch completes a successful first year in business in September. It has attracted a large volume of new members while serving as a convenient alternative to existing members and to the Main Street and Ballymore Eustace branches.
