Please contact us if you have any questions about this Cookie Notice:

This Cookie Notice explains how we use Cookies on our website. It is a declaration of the cookies that are active on our website, the purpose of the cookies and what they track. This Cookie Notice also provides you with information on how to opt out of the cookies being used.

Further information about our use of cookies can be found in our Data Protection Statement.

What are cookies?

Cookies are text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit which are then used to record information about your visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the website and to third parties.
Cookies help us to remember things about your visit to our website, such as your preferred language and other choices/settings and to generally make the site easier for you to use.
They may also be used to collect information about you in order to deliver advertisements.

What types of cookies do we use and why?

We use the following types of cookies on this website:

CookiePurpose
Strictly NecessaryNecessary cookies help make a website usable by enabling basic functions like page navigation. We also set a cookie to remember your cookie preferences between visits which we also categorise as a necessary cookie.
The website cannot function properly without these cookies.
StatisticsThese cookies gather analytics on the usage of our website including distinguishing unique users, remembering the number and time of previous visits, traffic source information and determining the start and end of a session.
These cookies are associated with sites using Google Analytics to measure traffic.
MarketingThe technical storage or access is required to create user profiles to deliver personalised advertising. This includes tracking your activity across this website and other websites you visit. By consenting to marketing cookies, you agree that your browsing information, such as the pages you view and the actions you take, may be shared with third-party advertising partners (e.g., Google, Facebook, TikTok). These partners may combine this data with other information they collect about you from other websites or services to create a detailed profile for targeted advertising purposes. You can manage your preferences or withdraw consent at any time.
“CookieControl” CookieStores the user’s cookie consent state for the current domain
Third-Party CookiesThese cookies are set by a website other than the website you are visiting, usually as a result of some embedded content such as a video, a social media share or a like button.
Please note that while Life Credit Union uses the NoCookie setting when embedding YouTube videos, YouTube Cookies are still placed on your device if you play a video. It is not possible to ensure that YouTube Cookies are always rejected when you reject all cookies using our Cookie Management Tool; please control these cookies from your browser settings.
Third-Party Advertising Cookies & Web BeaconsThese cookies enable third-party advertisers to track your online activity to deliver targeted online advertising content.
A web beacon, sometimes called a pixel, is a technique used on web pages to unobtrusively (usually invisibly) allow tracking of web page visitors. A web beacon can be implemented for instance as a 1×1 pixel image, a transparent image, or an empty file that is requested together with other resources when a web page is loaded.
Pixels contain a tag that tracks information about each visitor, such as pages they view, actions they took on the page, and any purchases made. To keep track of all these actions, the tracking pixel ties them to the unique IP address of the visitor.
The web beacons used on this website are associated with the Facebook Pixel which tracks conversions or events from Facebook ads. When visitors click on a Facebook ad and are directed to this website, this enables the website to see how they interact with any pages containing the pixel or beacon.

You can adjust your browser settings to decline cookies or alert you when a website is attempting to place a cookie on your computer.
